Isabel
Isabel only recently moved with her family from her native Berlin to Auckland. She has a MSc in Microbiology from the Unversity of Auckland and a postgraduate Journalism degree from the Freie Universitaet in Berlin. Isabel ran her own science-PR agency in Berlin, but was faced with a career change, when she and her New Zealand husband decided that the children should grow up in beautiful New Zealand. Unable to bear the thought of forever eating soft, packaged, supermarket bread, Isabel decided to turn towards her lifelong passion for baking. Preparing for the big move, Isabel worked in several organic bakeries in Germany, before coming to New Zealand. When Isabel found the former Boulangerie l'Epi in Ellerslie for sale, she could not resist the opportunity and quickly warmed to the idea of Paris-Berlin, French-German Organic Bakery.
